English Civil War Resources for Historians & Genealogists
The English Civil War was a series of battles and skirmishes (both physical and political), which took place between 22nd August 1642 and 3rd September 1651, between the 'Roundheads' (Parliamentarians) and 'Cavaliers' (Royalists). The cause of the War was mainly due to political unrest, and issues surrounding religious freedom.
